This is her first posthumous album, but Whitney Houston left behind such an amazing body of work that it likely won't be the last. In her lifetime, she recorded more than 40 chart-toppers. Yet I Will Always Love You-The Best of Whitney Houston is much more than the singer's greatest-hits collection; it's a celebration of her music. It appropriately opens with "You Give Good Love," the buttery-smooth lead single from her 1985 eponymous debut album. The neon-bright "How Will I Know," the slightly funky "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)," the sultry "So Emotional," and the moving "I Have Nothing" were all given deep remasters here, making for extra-fresh fidelity. Other gems include her dazzling covers of George Benson's "Greatest Love of All," Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman," and, of course, the Dolly Parton-penned title track. But the real treats here are a version of "I Look to You" re-recorded as a duet with R. Kelly and the previously unreleased R&B jam "Never Give Up."
